Exciting summer excursion destinations in Gries im Sellrain
Lüsens and Praxmar offer sports facilities for mountain bikers, e-bikers and hikers. The Lüsenser Fernerkogel with its proud 3298 m is suitable for glacier tours and alpine climbing. In winter, one of the classics in the Stubai Alps for advanced tourers.

Daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from the end of June to mid-September, the Kühtai cable car takes you up to a lofty 2,410 meters above sea level. Starting from the mountain station, a marked path leads to a via ferrata. Climbing equipment can be hired at the valley station. Mountain experience or an inspection with a trained alpine instructor are recommended.

If you like to pedal, the mountain bike route "Bike Trail Tirol Stage 25: Sellrain-Kühtai-Oetz" will give you an unforgettable panorama. The route, which is 35 kilometers long in total, leads via Gries and St. Sigmund. If you like it challenging, the Kühtai Rodeo is the right place for you. A challenge and optimal preparation for the Ötztaler Cycle Marathon, 122 kilometers, at 4250 meters in altitude.
Climb the mountains on Icelandic horses! It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or already advanced: From June you can take part in daily guided rides through the idyllic mountains. If you prefer to walk yourself, you can run on one of the many jogging or Nordic walking routes. In addition, it can be adventurous on water: rafting or a canyoning tour, for the very brave.
